Merv Sandrel entered the flooring industry shortly after his birth. He went into commercial flooring after leaving his fathers company under the threat of yet another beating. In 1980, after installing floors in most B.C.'s hospitals and schools, he wandered into Hallmark Carpets where he happily installed carpets and flooring until 1988 when he became a bootlicking salesman. In April of 1993 he liked the company so much he bought it. For the next 12 years he ran the company with an iron fist and a marshmallow brain. Stepping aside to let the key employees take over the reins in 2005, Merv will try to golf more but will still remain at Hallmark Carpets to help with your flooring needs.
